The last time Trevor Brazile won a round at the National Finals happened Nov. 7 during the first go-round at the Clem McSpadden National Finals Steer Roping.
He made up for lost time Wednesday during the eighth round, where he won both the team roping and the tie-down roping round titles. He and Travis Graves stopped the clock in 3.8 seconds to win team roping, and Brazile shared the tie-down roping crown with Matt Shiozawa after they scored 6.8s.
It was the first time since 2001, when Jesse Bail won at least a share of the round in both saddle bronc riding and bull riding.
